By using this Website you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time and therefore it is up to you to check our Terms and Conditions for any changes whenever you visit our Website and especially before you place an order. Your continued use of our Website means that you have accepted these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, you should leave our Website now.

Prices

All prices quoted on this Website are in UK Sterling (£) and include VAT at the current rate (17.5%). We reserve the right to alter our prices at any time. Confirmation of the price of a product will be made by us when your order is accepted in accordance with our Order Acceptance Policy.

While we try and ensure that all prices on our Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you decide to cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product which was advertised at an incorrect price.

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on our Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep our Website as up to date as possible, the information, including product descriptions, appearing on our Website at any particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order.

OverTheBoard.co.uk reserves the right to change prices, information, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services at any time.

Making A Purchase

We want to make sure that ordering items from OverTheBoard.co.uk is as simple as possible. Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished making your selections, click on 'Checkout' button and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

When you place an order to purchase a product from OverTheBoard.co.uk, we will send you an Order Confirmation Email confirming that we have received your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we dispatch that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation Email to you confirming that your products have been dispatched. Any products on the same order which have not been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

For the avoidance of doubt, no contract for the sale of any product will subsist between you and OverTheBoard.co.uk until OverTheBoard.co.uk dispatches the product(s) you have ordered and we send you a Dispatch Confirmation Email. This confirmation email that your products have been dispatched amounts to an acceptance by OverTheBoard.co.uk of your offer to buy goods from OverTheBoard.co.uk (whether or not you receive that email).

You can place your order via our Website, by email, snail mail or by telephone (during normal office hours). We can accept payment by the following methods:

1) Cheques and postal orders (UK only) made out to 'OTBGames'. Please allow up to 5 working days for cheque clearance if paying by cheque. Please send your order and cheque to our address above.

2) Credit cards - Visa and Mastercard.

3) UK Debit Cards - Switch, Maestro, etc.

Please note that we do not normally take any payment from your credit or debit card until the product is ready to be despatched. However, if products are being despatched direct from the manufacturer or one of our suppliers, we will take payment when the order has been accepted by the manufacturer or the relevant supplier.

If you have supplied us with your email address, we will notify you by email as soon as possible to confirm that we have received your order.

Shipping And Handling

Postage and packing ("P&P") costs are automatically added to your order in the shopping cart. Our UK delivery charges are based on the weight of the item(s) you have ordered and start at £5.99 for up to 2 kg up to a maximum of £13.99 for 20 kg.

Please be aware that many of our products are quite heavy and this, together with the packaging materials we use, is reflected in the shipping charges. At present, items are generally dispatched by Royal Mail or courier.

P&P prices are based on the assumption that all of the products ordered are despatched at the same time. If products are dispatched in instalments further P&P charges may apply. However, it is our normal policy to send out all items ordered in one shipment.

All non-mainland UK destinations have to be priced on an individual basis. If you would like your items shipped outside of the UK then please contact us using our 'Contact Form' for a tailored P&P quote.

We use fast and cost effective methods to ensure efficient delivery of your order. We constantly review our carriers and our delivery rates to ensure we can offer a great delivery service at a competitive price.

Delivery Schedule

If a product is in stock, it is normally despatched within 3 working days (subject to credit card authorisation, cheque clearance, etc.). Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days from date of posting, but may take longer if circumstances beyond our control disrupt postal services. In any event, please allow up to 7 working days for delivery, although in most cases delivery will be considerably quicker than this.

Please note that your order may be delayed if the item is not in stock with us or our suppliers. Some items may be unavailable and our current stock status is approximate. As we process your order, we will inform you by email if any products you order turn out to be unavailable.

The period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate. Please note that dispatch estimates are just that. They are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such. Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order and stated in the Order Confirmation Email.

If your item is not in stock and cannot be despatched within 5 working days, we will notify you by email or telephone giving you an estimated delivery date. If you then wish to cancel the order, you may do so without penalty. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Customs

When ordering goods from OverTheBoard.co.uk for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. These charges, as well as any additional charges for customs clearance, must be borne by you. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so we recommend that you contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Privacy Policy

We respect our customers' privacy, and any personal information that you supply to us is not passed to any other persons or companies, other than those involved in processing your order (e.g. bank, credit card authorisation, etc.).

We do not use your information for our own marketing purposes unless you give us permission to do so.

Returns Policy

At OverTheBoard.co.uk we want you to be happy every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items.

Before returning an item you must obtain a Returns Authorisation Number from us and follow our Returns Authorisation Procedure. This will enable us to enable us to deal with the matter efficiently.

If you want to return an item you must contact us by email or telephone and request a Return Authorisation Number. When requesting a Return Authorisation Number you must provide OverTheBoard.co.uk with the following information:

Name and Address
Order Reference Number
Date of purchase
Description of items purchased
Reason for wanting to return the item(s): (i.e. damaged product).

We will email you a Returns Authorisation Number along with details on how and where to send your return. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any return which does not include a Returns Authorisation Number.

OverTheBoard.co.uk will authorise the return of an item in the following cases:

i) Faulty or damaged item

You may return any item that was faulty or damaged when received for a full refund. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. In these cases we will also refund the return postage.

If the goods we deliver are faulty or damaged please advise us within 3 days of receipt so we can assist you in returning them to us.Please note we only accept the return of items that have been opened if they are damaged or defective.

OverTheBoard.co.uk will check all items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item/s and to recover our fees and expenses from you.

ii) Duplicate or incorrect item

You may return any duplicate or incorrect item sent to you as a result of our error for a full refund. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. In these cases we will also refund the return postage.

If the goods we deliver are not those ordered please advise us within 3 days of receipt so we can assist you in returning them to us.

iii) Unwanted item

You may return any unopened item (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and with all original packaging within 7 days after the date of receiving it, for a full refund. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. In such cases you will be responsible for the return postage costs as set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Please note that we cannot refund or exchange an opened item unless it is faulty, or if the item was sent to you through our error. We will only refund postage if the return is a result of our error.

When you send your item back to us according to our Returns Policy we'll process the returned item then notify you by email of your refund. Refunds are normally made with 10 working days.

Returned products must be returned to us unused (except where you are returning them because of a fault) and with all original packaging. You are responsible for ensuring that the product is not damaged on its return journey and so we strongly recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.

In the event of OverTheBoard.co.uk sending you a replacement for a damaged, defective or incorrect item, you must return the original item to OverTheBoard.co.uk within 30 days of our email confirming the issue of the replacement item. Provided you return this item to us within the 30 days, you will have nothing more to pay. If you do not return the original item to us by the end of the 30 day period, we reserve the right to charge an amount equal to the price of your original order to the payment card you used for the order. Once again, we strongly advise obtaining Proof of Posting and using Recorded Delivery when returning any product.

OverTheBoard.co.uk reserves the right to make a 20% restocking charge for any goods which are not returned in mint condition or to refuse to accept such goods, at its sole discretion. OverTheBoard.co.uk also reserves the right to make a charge for collecting goods from your premises in circumstances where they are not defective but you have cancelled your order. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Insofar as it is possible, all games are checked prior to dispatch, but if you are not happy with the condition of the game when you receive it, you must contact us within 3 working days.

Please note that all of our ornamental chess sets are completely hand made and as a result of this slight variations in colour and size may be noticed upon close examination. This makes each set unique. If you feel that the variations are too great, please contact us for further advice.

Nothing in our Returns Policy affects your statutory rights.

Right to Cancel

You may cancel your order at any time prior to your order being processed. You may do this by sending a Notice of Cancellation Email using our enquiry form on the 'Contact Us' page or by , quoting your name, address and Order Reference Number and stating that you wish to cancel your order. You may also cancel by telephone (during normal office hours - 9.30am to 5.00pm).

Customers in the European Union have the right to cancel an order for a full refund for any reason at any time up to 7 working days after the day of delivery in accordance with your rights under the UK's Distance Selling Regulations.

All returns must be made in accordance with our Returns Policy. Goods must be returned to us unopened and with all original packaging. Please note that in such cases you will be responsible for all return postage costs. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Once OverTheBoard.co.uk receive notification from you that you wish to withdraw from the contract (in accordance with these terms), any sum debited to OverTheBoard.co.uk from your credit card in relation to your order will be re-credited to that credit card account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order provided that the goods you wish to return are received by OverTheBoard.co.uk in the condition that they were in when delivered to you. You will be liable for any charges incurred in returning the goods to OverTheBoard.co.uk.
